Sask Party MLA for Thunder Creek, Lyle Stewart with wife Linda and grandaughter, Josie

It wasn't even close this year in the Thunder Creek riding, the Sask Party's Lyle Stewart dominated by more than 4,500 votes to his next closest competitor. Ryan McDonald of the NDP came in second with 1,297 votes and Jill Forrester finished third for the Green Party with 21.

Stewart was humble about the whole experience and says there were many people to thank. "It's gratifying to see that the people of Saskatchewan seem to appreciate the direction our government has been going. We will continue to be fiscally responsible with balanced budgets, we'll keep taxes as low as we can while working on things like the highways, healthcare and social programs."

Stewart says the success of his campaign was due to his team. "I think we have one of the best bunch of campaigners in any constituency in the province. The campaign was very well organized and very well executed and all I did was keep my feet moving and things happened."

The Sask Party ended up taking a total of 49 out of 58 seats, province wide.
