The Swift Current A&W fast food restaurant held its 10th annual Burgers to Beat M.S. Day to raise money to help fight the debilitating disease.

Yesterday $2 from every Teen Burger sold go towards the M.S. Society of Canada, $3 floats going entirely to charity, and a raffle for door prizes racking up donations as well.

Garth Bauer, the operator of the branch, said they have been extremely busy throughout the day because of the event.

Bauer said that they sold 732 Teen Burgers, and totaled $2379.45 in donations.

Saskatchewan A&W started the initiative, and then A&W Canada brought the program to the rest of the country, according to Bauer.

Classic cars from the Eliminators Car Club were also expected to make an appearance as well, hoping to draw a crowd and raise more money.
