The annual Shaunavon Ranch Rodeo happened this past Sunday evening out at the Ron Winquist Arena west of Shaunavon.

The event had a later start time this year than previously, as President of the Shaunavon Ranch Rodeo Association, Curtis Jacob, explains. "We ended up putting a little bit of a time change in there. Majority of the reason was we were trying to get our usual announcer, Donnie Peacock, that does such a fantastic job for us at our rodeo, and he was already booked to be in Swift Current, so we adjusted some of our times to accommodate him getting down here to help us out with our rodeo."

The Ranch Rodeo, which showcases events that are like farm and ranch life, saw 12 four man teams in attendance, and about 380 spectators out.

And what's the most popular event? According to Jacob, it's the Wild Cow Milking.

He adds that all money raised goes to the Ranch Rodeo, and to the operation of the club.
