A string of robberies at financial institutions across southern Saskatchewan look like they've been solved.

Robert Holden of Lafleche was arrested on Wednesday facing 13 charges in connection with six robberies and two attempted robberies between May 2016 and June 2017.

· 5 counts, robbery, section 344(1)(a.1) of the Criminal Code
· 1 count, robbery, section 344(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
· 6 counts, wearing a disguise with intent, section 351(2) of the Criminal Code
· 1 count, unsafe storage of firearms, section 86(1)

The list of financial institutions includes two in the southwest - Hodgeville in June 2016 and Glentworth in May of 2017.

The 59 year old appeared in Regina Provincial Court yesterday and will appear next on April 12.

Sgt. Kelly West with Regina RCMP General Investigation Section said it was a lengthy investigation their unit took over in 2017 and had been actively investigating the incidents since that time.
