An opportunity tonight to go and see a endangered species of animal located in the Grassland National Park here in the Southwest.

"On Saturday we have our My Family's Greatest Adventure called Black Footed Ferret Spotting," said Kara Hilz, an employee at the Park, "so we're going to have everybody come out with our park staff, and we're going to go search by spotlight for the elusive blackfooted ferret, which is just one of the endangered species at the park."

Hilz added the animal is completely nocturnal.

"Their eyes glow green, which is different from other prairie animals who's eyes glow red, so it will be easy to differentiate them from something else."

Hilz added that they will meet at the Frenchman Valley Campground located 25km southeast of Val Marie and the cost for the tour is $10.80 per person, or $25 per family.
