Update - Sunday 9:30 a.m.


This morning SaskPower reported that in the town of Herbert area there were reports of outages.

They say that there is no time frame for restoral for Herbert, but customers in the Rush Lake area were told that their power issues would likely be resolved around noon today.

SaskPower also said that if anyone is experiencing flickering lights and are concerned about appliances, to unplug them.

This is said to be due to frost on power lines, and would be resolved upon sunrise.

Saturday - 10:47 p.m.


A slew of outages across the southwest last night saw SaskPower have a busy night.

SaskPower’s website lists that the communities of Weyburn, Estevan, Assiniboia, Hodgeville, and Gravelbourg, as well as surrounding areas, all experienced various levels of power loss.

All of the issues to those areas were reported around 8:00 p.m. last night.

Power was restored to Estevan and Weyburn around 9:40 p.m.

Repairs to Assiniboia, Hodgeville, and Gravelbourg were completed around 1:00 a.m.

A SaskPower spokesperson said that around 480 residents in the Gravelbourg area were without power.

The reason for that outage was said to be ice on power lines.
