For the second straight year, local florist Poppy Parsons from Smart Flowers, will be selling pink carnations to raise money to combat Breast Cancer.
50 cents from every 99 cent carnation sold will benefit the Southwest Unit of the Canadian Cancer Society.
Parsons is gearing up for another busy October of selling pink carnations and suggests people pre-book their flowers to avoid missing out.
In it's inaugural fundraiser last October, Smart Flowers sold over 1200 carnations resulting in a donation over $600.
