Swift Current Mayor Jerrod Schafer will face a captive audience Wednesday at the Sky Centre for the State of the City Breakfast put on by the Swift Current and District Chamber of Commerce.
"It's just a chance for the Mayor to comment on the budget itself, as well as where we're at with the city," said Chamber Chairman Trevor Koot. "The economic environment is such that some of the moves that governments at every level, including the municipality, are making need some justification and explanation to the public and the business community."
Tickets are availavle for $35.00 at the Chamber office and members get a discount, with the doors opening at 7:30am Wednesday morning.
