A new collective bargaining agreement has been reached between the Chinook School Division and it's teachers.

The new CBA, which was ratified at the Chinook board's meeting this past week, runs from September 1st, 2011 to August 31, 2014.

Director of Education, Liam Choo-Foo says the deal came about during a time teachers were also in negotiation with the province...

Choo-Foo says he's pleased to see the CBA now in effect, which addresses a number of issues, and they also pride themselves on the relationship that they have with their teachers, adding they value their work and the teachers are a very confident group who bring a lot of skill and talent to the jobs that they do.
