A plan for the proposed integrated facility

The City of Swift Current has picked up their option on 40 acres of land in the northeast corner of the community.

Mayor Jerrod Schafer says it is not exclusively for the development of the proposed integrated facility.

To move forward with plans for the Holy Trinity and Chinook School Divisions on that land, the Ministry of Education had indicated they would need something from the city showing their ownersip of the requested land.

The school boards are requesting 18 of the 40 acres.

Swift Current is buying the whole property for 2.225 million dollars from Brian and Cindy Rempel. They are paying for it in five yearly installments.
