A pair of recent retirements has left a bit of a gap in management for the City of Swift Current.

Currently the City doesn't have a parks manager or a general manager of community services after both Andy Toth and Dean Robson retired on December 31.

Tim Marcus, the chief administrative officer for the City of Swift Current, said they're at different levels of the hiring process for each vacant position.

"One position we're currently advertising and recruiting, which would be for Andy Toth's position," he explained. "For the GM of community services we're going to be recruiting for the position sometime in February."

The City is hoping to fill the parks manager role by the end of February, but are in no rush to fill the GM of community services role.

"Partially due to other people being away at various times including myself, it just doesn't work for us to do any recruiting beforehand," he said.
