Swift Current City RCMP are continuing to look into a number of break-ins at local businesses lately.

"There was a break-and-enter to a business on the weekend, and we've had a few over the last few months," said Sergeant Michelle Kenke. "It's not possible at this point to say whether or not they were connected, just the fact that we've had several businesses broken into over the last few months."

This morning, RCMP released more details on the incidents in hopes that the public can help with the investigation. They report that in the early morning of May 19th, Economy Heating on 8th Ave NW had their sign broken off of the frame, Gauvin Motors on Chaplin St W had the windows and mirrors of six vehicles damaged, and an undisclosed amount of cash and other items were taken from Pick-A-Deli after the lock to its front door was twisted off. Also, just last night, the front lock was twisted off of the door to Southwest Sweets on Central Ave N, but it appears that no one entered the building.

Sergeant Kenke also notes a continuing problem with vehicle break-ins since the start of spring.

Anyone with information on these break-ins can contact City RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
