Our neighbours to the west voted in civic elections across Alberta on Monday.

In Medicine Hat, Ted Clugston earned a second term as mayor, winning 56.64% of the vote. Over 44 polling stations in the Gas City, Clugston received 9317 votes, finishing nearly 5200 votes ahead of second-place candidate John Hamill.

Clugston was first elected Mayor of Medicine Hat in 2013.

Elsewhere in Alberta, Naheed Nenshi won a third term as Mayor of Calgary, while Don Iveson was re-elected as Mayor of Edmonton for a second term.
