The Salvation Army held its second-annual Halloween Food Drive last night involving youth from across the city and area, as well a "zombie walk" helped raise more food donations.

Reportedly, around 8000 lbs of food was collected throughout the evening for the local food bank.

Captain Micheal Ramsay says it's wonderful to see this kind of support, especially with the Christmas season approaching.

Ramsay adds they are in the process of planning the Community Christmas Dinner and the Christmas Hampers, and the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign will also begin later this month.
