Shaunavon's new RV Campground, behind Jubilee Park, has gotten a facelift.

Seventeen trees were transplanted there recently to give the campground a whole new look.

And, the interesting part of this tree story, is that those seventeen trees were originally planted by Shaunavon's current Mayor, Grant Greenslade.

He says, "Ya, I was a summer student back in, I think, 1986 and 1987. They were all maybe a foot or two feet tall at the most, and I spent a lot of time watering them and weeding them."

He adds that once the trees catch and some grass is planted there the RV Campground will be looking great.

Greenslade says there are water and electrical services installed at each site at the campground, and there is also a new sewer dump on the west side. It will not be usable until spring.
