This is day 16 of the strike and the members of Teamsters say they're in it for the long haul.

1200 track inspectors and track maintenance workers with Canadian Pacific Railway remain on the picket lines.

Teamsters member, Don Lesuk says safety is becoming a major issue, adding the strike is causing disruptions for CPR traffic.

A message from CPR President Fred Green found on CPR's official website says they are operating safely and fluidly, and the efforts of the replacement workers have been key to the health of their operation in recent weeks.

CPR has offered 10% over a 3 year term while the Teamsters demand 13% over 3 years.
