Details have been released on yesterday's crash that closed the Trans-Canada Highway heading eastbound near Parkbeg towards Moose Jaw.

The fatal crash involved a brown van and a pickup truck. Both vehicles were solely occupied by male drivers that were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the RCMP they received two complaints before the collision about a brown van travelling westbound in the eastbound lane at 1:17 p.m.

The driver of the brown van was an 86-year-old male from Regina and the driver of the pickup truck was a 56-year-old male from Central Butte. Both their names will not be released.

The highway was reopened last night around 7:40 p.m after the RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist examined the scene.

RCMP say the investigation is still ongoing.
