For the Town of Gull Lake, a rash of crimes has residents on the lookout for suspicious activity.

Following a break and enter at the Town's Campground Office, residents are reminded to reach out if they see anything.

The Mayor of Gull Lake, Blake Campbell, said that assisting police would help them in their investigations.

"We definitely want to encourage residents to report any suspicious activity that they see happening."

"We need to help the RCMP out where we can to help them obtain leads that are going to lead to the arrest of those that are responsible for these series of break and enters and vehicle theft that has taken place."

The vehicle theft occurred last week.

He said that he also had heard a report from a resident of gas being taken from a vehicle last week.

"It's a very safe community," Campbell stated, "but when things like this happen, it kind of gets everybody on a heightened sense of awareness, and people are worried."

Campbell said the number of suspects in the crimes is not known, and he hoped that the culprit(s) would be brought to justice soon.

"These types of things are definitely concerning to all of us that live in the community, and it would be nice to go back to being peaceful again."
