There will be no shortage of things to do in Swift Current this weekend, as Culture Days is now well underway.

The three-day festival kicked off yesterday afternoon with an event at the Innovation Credit Union Courtyard.

Rose Gilks, General Manager of Sask Culture, will be in the city for this weekend's events, and is excited about what Swift Current will have to offer in its first year taking part in Culture Days. She added that given that all of the activity that's happening in the city with the Art Gallery, Museum, Lyric Theatre and the Newcomer Welcome Centre, it would be a perfect place to spend a weekend and see first-hand the impact of Culture Days in a community.

Gilks adds this will be a very important event to show off the vibrancy of the city.

Some of the big events planned for the weekend include an open house at the museum tomorrow, a tea tour at the Lyric Theatre today, and Rocktoberfest tonight, also at the Lyric.

More details and a complete listing of events can be found on the Swift Current Culture Days Facebook page
