Producers waiting for the results of the Canadian Wheat Board's plebiscite on the future of the single desk will have to wait a little longer.

MNP plebiscite coordinator Ian Craven says results were not finalized in enough time to release them last night. They will instead release vote totals on Monday.

The non-binding producer plebiscite was commissioned to guage producer interest in proposed changes to the board's marketing system.

The federal government is planning to remove the CWB's monopoly on grain sales by the start of the next crop year.
