The Annual Cypress Hills Wish Ride was held this Saturday.

The Historic Reesor Ranch held the Seventh Annual Cypress Hills Wish Ride in hopes of raising money for the Children's Wish Foundation.

The Children's Wish Foundation is a foundation that takes $10,000 and uses it to grant a wish for a child. The ride raised almost $21,000 for the foundation.

The ride saw roughly 50 riders with a slew of non-riders as well.

After the ride there was a demonstration from the Wildrose Mounted Shooters, who took pistols and shotguns filled with black powder and shot balloons while riding. To end the day off was a supper from Skinny's Smoke House for everyone who attended the ride or came afterwards to see the shooting demonstration.

Co-owner and operator of the Historic Reesor Ranch, Theresa Reesor, said that the ride is an awesome way to not only have fun but also raise money for the Children's Wish Foundation.

"We got a lot of return people and a number of new riders this year. It's just a really fun day - people just have a really great time," Reesor added. "People are in really good spirits and here to raise money for the kids and it's a lot of fun."

Reesor also said that she and everyone involved with this event are looking forward to next year's.
