Fundraising continues for the restoration of Swift Current's historic Lyric Theatre, and Cypress Motors is inviting the public to get involved just by test driving a new Ford.
Brett Goddard, the dealership's Sales Manager, says they are holding the Drive One 4UR Community event for the Lyric, which could yield up to $6000 for the downtown theatre's capital fundraising campaign.
Goddard adds there is no cost or committment to buy needed to take part in the event, but says test drives are limited to one per household. He adds they aim to push through 300 test drives for the day to raise the maximum $6000, so he expects a very busy day.
The event goes from 9:00am to 5:00pm today at the Lyric Theatre on Central Ave North.
