A month-long drug investigation by the Swift Current City RCMP has resulted in several arrests.

The police aren't going into too much detail, but say several individuals were arrested on Thursday with the help of the Swift Current Rural RCMP. Later that day a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant was executed at a city residence.

Three men were in Swift Current Provincial Court yesterday, and all had their matters adjourned.

Thirty-three-year-old Henry Bender was remanded in custody until Wednesday. He's charged with trafficking meth, having break-in tools, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Twenty-three-year-old Austin Hill was released and will appear again February 6. He's charged with trafficking meth.

And 43-year-old James Villella has a bail hearing Monday. He's charged with driving while prohibited, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possessing a prohibited weapon, and failure to comply with conditions of his recognizance.

Police aren't releasing details of the investigation or details on the seized property.
