A previous year's Duck Derby race

The Swift Current Creek will have a bunch of rubber duckies in it this Sunday for the 24th annual Southwest Crisis Services' Duck Derby, in conjunction with Innovation Credit Union's Picnic Inn the Park.

Southwest Crisis Services' Executive Director Teresa Cole said, this year, it will be a bit different.

"We have two sets of tickets this year," explained Cole. "We have a green ticket and that one is exclusively for the WestJet round trip to anywhere WestJet flies for two people. Those ones are $5. We're also doing our regular $2 tickets and we have three great prizes on those tickets. There's a $750 gift card from Pioneer Co-op, we have a barbecue donated by Canadian Tire and we have a $300 gift card from M&M Meat Shop."

You can get your tickets for the Derby at the Wheatland Mall, close to Pioneer Co-op, today, as well as tomorrow afternoon.

Tickets will also be available at Picnic Inn the Park, with the race beginning at 4:00pm.
