Early Morning Blaze Handled By Fire Departments

A bale fire East of Swift Current got the attention of Rural and City fire departments this morning.

This call came in from a Golden West Radio listener, “Probably about a hundred feet of bale on fire. I think there's 5 fire trucks there right now, City firetrucks and RM firetrucks are there. It's at the Primrose Livestock feed lot just on the southside of the highway on the westside of Waldeck”

Swift Current City Fire Captain Rod Smith said they did have around 8 members attending to the fire. According to recent calls to the swiftcurrentonline newsroom the fire now appears to under control.
