For the second time, the province will be heading to the polls during a pandemic; this time joined by the rest of Canada in a federal election on September 20, 2021.

As more information becomes available, Swift Current Online will be doing a deeper dive into the candidates, their platforms and their campaign journeys.

WHERE DO I VOTE? (to be updated)

Voting locations for the Cypress Hills-Grasslands electoral district have not yet been determined.  As that information becomes available, Swift Current Online will provide updates.

There are three local Elections Canada offices located in the district:

  • Hillside Plaza | 1071 Central Avenue North, Suite 1, Swift Current.  1-866-294-6779 (Returning Officer: Helen Marie Arnold)
  • Prince of Wales Cultural and Recreation Centre | 301 3rd Avenue West, Suite C, Assiniboia Saskatchewan.  1-866-647-3775 (Returning Officer: Cathy Willis)
  • Kindersley Mall | 608 12th Avenue East, Suite 1520, Kindersley Saskatchewan. 1-866-647-3776 (Returning Officer: Brenda L. Edgerton) 

 All local Election Canada offices will be open Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m, Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m, and Sundays from Noon to 4:00 p.m.

 

WHO ARE MY CANDIDATES?

There are currently 3 confirmed candidates running in the federal election in the Cypress Hills-Grasslands riding. A fourth candidate has been listed by their party on social media and their website, but has yet to be confirmed by Elections Canada.

The deadline for the close of nominations for candidates is Monday, August 20, 2021, and a complete and official list will be available on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
