Wayne Elhard from the Saskatchewan Party, following a decisive win in last night's provincial election.

A big election night for the Saskatchewan Party last evening.

In the Cypress Hills Constituency, incumbent Sask Party member Wayne Elhard was triumphant, picking up 83 percent of the vote.

Elhard spoke with us shortly after his win over NDP candidate Alex Mortenson and Green Party candidate Bill Caton.

"I'm just thrilled with the results here, not just in this constituancy, but province-wide", said Elhard moments after the numbers came in.

Elhard added that the Sask Party has a plan as they head back to the legislature and will be taking it step by step.

Meanwhile in the other surrounding constituancies, Yogi Huyghebaert retained his Wood River seat with 82% of the vote, Jim Reiter won the support of 81% of Rosetown-Elrose voters, and Lyle Stewart fell just short his colleagues, receiving 79% of the vote in Thunder Creek.
