The Shaunavon Fire Department was called into action this past Friday afternoon.
An oil tank exploded at a location two miles north and one and a half miles west of Shaunavon at around 2:00pm. Merrick Goldstein from the Fire Department reports no injuries from the incident.
The cause remains under investigation, but it is believed that it was caused by an equipment malfunction.
