It was a busy day on Parliament Hill Monday, as MPs made their way back for the start of the Fall session.

With a busy agenda ahead of them, Cypress Hills-Grasslands MP David Anderson says he's looking forward to seeing what a majority government can do in Ottawa.

Anderson says the day started with a moment of silence for former NDP Leader, Jack Layton, who passed away after a battle of cancer.

The Conservative Party of Canada won 167 of the 308 seats in the House of Commons in May's federal election.
