A father and son from the Mankota area who are facing a number of weapons-related charges and wildlife charges appeared in Provincial Court this morning.

Fifty-five-year-old James Alfred Frampton and 19-year-old Rocky James Frampton were charged after a search of their farm in May last year uncovered 60 weapons and a number of trophy antlers. The Framptons are jointly facing 18 gun-related charges, and 3 wildlife charges.

Defense counsel made an application to have the joint wildlife charges for James and Rocky severed so each of the accused could be tried seperately.  The Judge denied his request, and all of the charges have been adjourned until December for trial.
