The Swift Current Watershed Stewards held their annual Frog Hoppers event.

Yesterday Frog Hoppers took place at the Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park Amphitheatre. It offers lots of fun activities for all ages to partake in. They had bugs and snake sheds to show the people the kinds of life that inhabit the watershed. There was a presentation alongside the activities giving information on the watershed and how to help keep it clean and healthy.

Since 2009 the program has had roughly 3,000 youth participate and learn through the activities.

Park Interpretor Alana Regier said the event was very successful.

"We had people from all ages - we had some young kids that came out, as well as some people that were a little bit older and it was great. This program is really more aimed at kids, but I think people from all ages enjoyed themselves."

The event hopes to raise awareness to the positive aspects and damages toward the watershed and the creatures living within it, as well as enjoyment for people of all ages.
