With the temperature starting to drop lower and lower, car owners should start to think getting them ready for winter.

Lisa Wilson-Sturm, Director of Corporate Communications with CAA Saskatchewan says there are a few different things you can do to get your car ready for winter, ranging from testing your battery and ignition system, making sure your block heater cord is in working condition, and also checking your engine coolant system.

Wilson-Sturm adds it is also a good idea to carry an emergency kit in your vehicle with things that will help you if you get stranded during the winter.
