Cindy Reimer, Owner and Manager of Swift Current's Glass Slipper Spa is proud to be celebrating 15 years in business this week.

Originally offering laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation and Pilates, the spa has over the years morphed into adding esthetics, a full day spa and amazing products including Hillberg and Berk.

As one of the stand out moments of her time with the spa Reimer reflects on the fact that Hillberg and Berk founder Rachel Mielke came to the spa when she first began her jewelery venture and did some trunk shows. So Reimer says it was amazing to be in on the ground floor of a business which has now gone global.

Reimer reflects on what it means to have reached this business milestone.

"Well, I kind of started this business thinking it was a challenge, could I actually do this? So the fact that I am here 15 years later and made it through COVID, I am really quite proud of it because it is a big accomplishment. To start a new business from scratch is difficult and to survive through COVID and I commend every single person that owns a business that was able to get their business through COVID. It's an impressive accomplishment."

Reimer adds that their success is certainly thanks to their customers.

"Because of the people in Swift Current who truly took shop local to heart. They really did and were here because people supported us and bought dispite the fact that our doors are maybe closed but we did curbside pick up and deliveries and all kinds of things. People were very good about supporting us and so it means alot to me."

As Reimer discusses her time with the spa she says that the smaller moments she has experienced mean the most to her such as teaching women, especially of the older generation who never have been able to pamper themselves, that it's something that's fun to do and have them appreciate what they can do for themselves.

In terms of any noticable trends that Reimer has noticed over the years, she says that women are now prepared to spend more on themselves then they use to. It is becoming more normal to do self-care and pamper yourself. There is a whole generation of women who had never done that so now she is seeing more and more of that. She also mentions that the younger generation have already seemed to have figured it out.

This week, the spa will be having a week of anniverary sales as a thank you to their clients. A discount bowl will be available where customers can pick out a discount anywhere from 10%-50% off products excluding esthetics, gift certificates and Ideal Protein.
