If you've been up past the Crescent Point Wickenheiser Center in Shaunavon over the past 24 hours you've no doubt noticed all kinds of RV's and motor homes parked there.

There are an expected 200 to 300 people from The Good Sam Club arriving in Shaunavon for a rally over the weekend.

The Good Sam Club is an international organization of recreational vehicle owners that travel to rallies across Canada and the U.S.

They held their opening ceremonies last evening and will spend the next few days, up until Sunday, hosting various events and taking some tours around the southwest area.

Doug Barker and his wife Brenda from Kyle are the Provincial Directors for Saskatchewan Good Sam. Doug says " Good Sam International..it started in the U.S. and went from the U.S. into Canada. We have Good Sam chapters all across Canada and in every state, so it's a very well run organized organization. We have rallies in every province and every state every year."

There are an estimated 800 Good Sam members, in 17 chapters, across Saskatchewan. The Saskatchewan organization hosts two rallies every year in the province.

There is a world-wide Good Sam membership of 1.7 million people.
