Grain Fair 2016

Great Western Railway in Shaunavon is hosting their Third Annual Grain Fair March 29th in Shaunavon.

The Grain Fair brings local producers who are looking to learn about different shipping options in the area, together with buyers, dealers and brokers.

Andrew Glastetter is the GM of Great Western Railway. He says, "The Grain Market has changed so much, especially since the elimination of the Single Desk years ago. And I think it's important for us to provide an opportunity..to give people an opportunity..to get out there and find out what's changing in the industry year after year, what different options are available out there."

Glastetter adds that their goal is to keep grain shipments moving locally on the local rail lines.

Admission to the Grain Fair is free and there will be snacks, refreshments and door prizes all day.

The Great Western Railway Grain Fair happens March 29th..ten a.m. until four p.m. at the Crescent Point Wickenheiser Center in Shaunavon.
