The grassfire near Webb, which is located 35 kilometres outside of Swift Current has been put out.

The RM of Swift Current Fire Department was called around 9:40 a.m. Sunday morning to aid the Gull Lake Fire Department in putting four fires that were around the CPR tracks.

"We took the two east fires while Gull Lake worked on the west end and we got extinguished and did our mop up," said Captain with the RM of Swift Current Fire Department Joey Cherpin.

Cherpin added that the cause of the fire was due to the trains passing by and that the Gull Lake Fire Department was putting out any remaining hot spots.
