The annual Great Plains College SunDogs auction raised a record $19,200 for their athletics program.
Development Coordinator Meaghan Lawrence said the $19,200 helps the SunDogs quite a bit, “This really does raise the majority of the money it takes to run the SunDogs program.”
Lawrence adds that all the funds will be going towards supporting the SunDogs, “100% of the funds raised go directly towards supporting SunDogs Athletics. It helps with everything from equipment purchases, jerseys, travel expenses, tournament expenses, everything. It goes right to covering those costs.”
The auction was highlighted by an all-expenses-paid pro sports getaway and an all-expenses-paid Bloomingdale’s shopping excursion.
Lawrence says it's responsible for a large portion of the SunDogs athletics operating budget.
