Two of Shaunavon's Primary Care Paramedics worked hard this past weekend to brighten someone's Christmas.

Paramedics Cherie Horan and Andrea Demarere spent a Saturday afternoon gathering non-perishable food items for the Shaunavon Food Bank.

Cheri explains their Fill the Ambulance idea. "So, we were stationed outside of the Co Op here in town. We spoke with the Food Bank to ask what their needs were, and we spoke with the Co Op to see if they would be game to allow us to park in front of their doors. We had said one till three but we got there early and people starting bringing us stuff, so we started at 12:30."

In total they collected 655 pounds of food and $200 cash for the Shaunavon Food Bank.

Both ladies said it was a wonderful day and they are already making plans to hold the event again next year.
