The Herbert and District Integrated Healthcare Facility has temporarily halted their emergency outpatient services for an additional 12 hour period.

The temporary disruption, which started Thursday, May 25th at 12:00 p.m., will now run until Wednesday, May 31st, at 7:00 a.m.

Physician unavailability is the cause of the five day disruption carrying through to the end of May.

Long term care services and acute inpatients will not be affected by this disruption of services.

In the event of an emergency, as is always the case, residents are encouraged to call 9-1-1 and an ambulance will be immediately dispatched to provide assistance.

Health-related questions that aren't urgent can be directed to the provincial HealthLine service, which can be reached at 8-1-1.

For those affected by this disruption of services, the nearest emergency department would be in Swift Current at the Cypress Region Hospital.

Individuals with questions or concerns are asked to contact Rowland Schmidt, Health Services Manager at Herbert & District Integrated Health Facility at (306) 784-2466 ext. 2222.
