Holt Speaks Out

Former Swift Current Bronco Todd Holt has been touching people's hearts with his story of tragedy and courage after revealing last week he was abused by convicted pedophile Graham James.

Holt wasn't ready to talk publicly when he and Theo Fleury first went to police about James.

"Three years ago when I first laid the charges I was in no way, shape or form ready to do anything like I'm doing today. But through the steps and the constant support and love I'm receiving helps make these steps along the way", Holt says.

Holt has since been through rehab and is in a much better place in his personal life and since revealing that he was abused by the former coach, he has been receiving messages of support from friends, family and fans.

The all-time leading scorer in Swift Current Broncos history says no number of years will set things right after the abuse he suffered at the hands of one-time coach Graham James.

"Graham James is a monster and always will be. He caused a lot of destruction in my life and a lot of my friends and loved ones. I don't think there he can do that will ever repay for what I went through."

He came forward with a victim impact statement at James' sentencing hearing last week. The judge will reveal a sentence for James on March 20th.
