CJSN Radio in Shaunavon held their annual Hot Dog Day Listener Appreciation Event this past Friday.

A great turn out that day and donations were taken for the Shaunavon Fire Department.

The grand total raised that day was $1,428.70 and Deputy Fire Chief, Merrick Goldstein, said "Ya, we're gonna be putting it towards training material for the Elementary School kids for Fire Prevention Week. We're just shooting for prevention through education."

Goldstein adds that the Department would like to send a big thank you out to everyone who donated.

The CJSN Hot Dog Day is held each June to welcome the first day of summer and to thank our listeners for tuning in.
