A recent report showed the Canadian housing market appears to be relatively steady, despite turmoil in the world markets, and it seems the local real estate market is also holding together well.

Rhonda Toth is President of the Association of Saskatchewan Realtors. She says projections show an upturn in the Swift Current region for the future, with increases in the number of building permits being issued and a potential record year for housing starts.

Toth says while they aren't experiencing the growth seen in years like 2007 and 2008, prices have managed to remain steady.
