Vaughn Schofield was named Saskatchewan's New Lieutenant Governor on tuesday.
Yogi Hughebaert, the MLA for the Wood River Constituency, knows Schofield is very committed to the province and believes she'll be an outstanding Lieutenant Governor.
"She's extremely supportive of the military and what they stand for," Hughebaert said. "I believe she's going to be an outstanding Lieutenant Governor for this province."
Hughebaert also commended outgoing Lieutenant Governor Gordon Barnhart
"He did really great for the youth of the province with some of his initiatives," Hughebaert said. "He served this province well."
A date for the installation of the new Lieutenant Governor is expected to be announced shortly.
