One of the most recognizable ways the Heart and Stroke foundation raises awareness about their cause is through the big bike.

The foundation is still looking for some communities to volunteer to have the event in their community this year.

Pamela Hujber with the Heart and Stroke foundation explains why the big bike is a great event to have in your commmunity.

"It's a fun way to engage people and it gives them an opportunity to fight back; so many of us have been affected by heart disease and stroke and for a lot of us this is a way to stand up and be proactive."

If you would like to have the big bike in your community either call Pamela Hujber at 306-930-7375 or check out the Big Bike website
