A man arrested for drunk driving that was an off-duty member of the RCMP Assiniboia detachment at the time pleaded guilty in Moose Jaw Provincial Court yesterday.

Donald Duplissea was charged with driving with a blood-alcohol content over .08 and with impaired operation of a motor vehicle. He was sentenced to a one-year driving prohibition, a $300 fine, and a $300 surcharge.

There hasn't been word yet from the RCMP F Division as to whether he's still employed, as paperwork would need to be filed before anything is released if there is a change in duty status.

After the arrest, Duplissea was placed on administrative duties.

The arrest came in the early-morning hours of July 22, after Duplissea was pulled over leaving Wood Mountain Provincial Park, which is southwest of Assiniboia.
