After four weeks of campaigning, it all comes down to your vote. Polls are now open across Saskatchewan for today's provincial election.

Saskatchewan Party Leader Brad Wall was among those casting his vote earlier this morning, doing so at his home polling station at Fairview School in Swift Current.

Speaking with the media after, Wall says the results of the provincial election now comes down to the voting public. He says they have done everything they could to earn the support of Saskatchewan people, as did the New Democrats in making their case, and now it's up to the people.

NDP Leader Dwain Lingenfelter cast his ballot today in his home riding of Regina-Douglas Park. His party is being considered a heavy underdog by many political analysts, but Lingenfelter says that underdog status has made them work even harder during the campaign.

Saskatchewan voters have been chomping at the bit to cast their vote in today's Provincial Election. Advance Polls have seen numbers like they've never had before last week and we can expect to see a number of line ups at polling stations today.

Saskatchewan has been seeing increasing voter turnout since 1995, when we had the lowest in the past 33 years. That culminated during the last election in 2007 according to Election Saskatchewan's Acting Chief Electoral Officer Dave Wilkie.

Wilkie says the highest voter turnout of the past 33 years was in 1982, at 83.9 per cent.

Polls will be open to 8:00pm tonight province-wide. Beryl Robinson, the Returning Officer for the Swift Current Constituency, says when you go to vote, make sure you bring your ID.

Robinson adds that Voter ID card also has the location where you vote, you can also look that up on the Elections Saskatchewan website.

When the polls close tonight, CKSW 570 and CJSN 1490 will be live with coverage of the results and reaction from the leaders and local candidates. You can also get up-to-date results tonight after 8:00pm by clicking here.
