Keep Fireworks Safety In Mind While Celebrating

Fireworks have been a part of Canada Day Celebrations for a long time, and this year will be no exception.

This year, the event will be held at the Kinetic Exhibition Park at 11:00pm on July 1st.

Deputy Fire Chief of the Swift Current Fire Department, Albert Headrick, would like to remind the general public that only professional, licensed fireworks technicians should be lighting the fuses

Headrick adds that it is illegal for people to buy, sell, or ignite fireworks in the City of Swift Current.
