The Swift Current Kiwanis Club is celebrating its 90th anniversary in 2011.
Kiwanis Member Dianne Miller, who has been a member since 2000, says she was working on some of the archival material in preparation for the anniversary, and is astounded at all of the accomplishments that Kiwanis has undertaken over the last 90 years.
Miller adds they are having a banquet at Great Plains College on September 15, and are inviting all current and former members, and anyone who has been touched by Kiwanis to attend.
Miller adds they have also resurrected a band called the "Kiwanis Chords", who have played at various Kiwanis functions and other events throughout Swift Current, and will entertain at the banquet.
