Moose Jaw Police Department
We may not know what caused the death of a 29 year old Swift Current woman in Moose Jaw for at least a month.
The body of Kanda Benaschak was found near a downtown business on Saturday morning.
Police in Moose Jaw say while an autopsy has been conducted, they don't expect results for several weeks.
Police have conducted initial interviews with people who may have been with or seen Benaschak in the hours leading up to her death. They will be spreading out their investigation in the coming days.
They don't suspect foul play and exposure to the cold weather may have played a factor in Benaschak's death.
Her funeral is Saturday at 2pm from Our Lady of the Assumption Cathedral in Gravelbourg.
The family have requested that any tributes be made to the Swift Current SPCA or Bateman Community Centre.
