A man charged after police were called out to a firearms related incident west of the city is returned to Swift Current Provincial Court this morning to address his charges.

65 year old Peter Ginter is charged with allegedly pointing a firearm at a person, careless use of a firearm, unproper registration and storage of a firearm, and break and enter.

He was arrested and charged last week before being temporarily released on a number of strict conditions, which included that he keep the peace, maintain no contact with the complainant, no contact with alcohol or firearms, and abide by a curfew.

He is still seeking legal counsel and has had his case adjourned to February 6. He remains out on conditions, and had his curfew clause removed.
